Dear Marla
In my personal journey of exploration of fetishism, a bit of BDSM, and spirituality, It appears that I have evolved from seeing fetish and BDSM as mere sexual interests to viewing them as a more profound and integral part of my identity. I am experiencing a sort of personal renaissance in which I have found a whole new realm of value for something as crazy as an attraction to rubber. I like the term "transmutation," because it suggests a transformative process and an active attraction towards this new state of being.
I attempt to integrate various aspects of myself, including fetishism, spirituality, heart, and sexuality, into a cohesive and all-encompassing lifestyle. The concept of a 24/7 rubber lifestyle indicates a commitment to incorporating these aspects into my everyday life.
I think of myself as a "RubberNunk", a gender neutral term derived from nun + monk, that combines elements of monastic rubber fetishism with a spiritual or even mystical path and a touch of core shamanism.[^1] This fusion allows me to bridge manifestation, mysticism, andscience in my quest for becoming all of who and what I am.
It's worth noting that everyone's personal journey and experiences are unique, and what resonates with one individual may not resonate with others. Ultimately, it's important to embrace your authentic self and pursue a path that feels right for you.
I think I've found that path.
Always in Rubber,
Thalia
[^1] * "core shamanism" refers to the underlying mechanics of shamanism stripped of all cultural baggage. Marcea Eliade describes it as a "technology of altered states of consciousness".
